Konotop City Territorial Community (Sumy region, 87,400 residents) continues to develop renewable energy despite ongoing shelling: 13 solar power plants (307 kW) and the region’s first wind turbine (10 kW) are already in operation. Five more facilities are currently under implementation.
At the Community Recovery and Reconstruction Forum organised by the Narodna Rada of Ukraine on 17 June 2026 in Kyiv, the Konotop community presented two thermal modernisation projects for the Central District Hospital named after Academician Mykhailo Davydov:
- Therapeutic building (144 beds, energy efficiency class “G”) — EUR 7.3 million

- Gynaecological building (40 beds, class “G”) — EUR 3.3 million

Both projects include insulation, heating system replacement, solar panels and the construction of shelters. The expected reduction in energy consumption is 50%, with the energy efficiency class to be raised to “C”. The hospital serves 200,000 residents across the region.
