Pokrovska settlement VA (Dnipropetrovsk region):

  • 50 settlements
  • 19,000 inhabitants
  • War damage:
    • about 90% of the municipal infrastructure destroyed
    • the entire population evacuated
    • a newly built lyceum destroyed (the lyceum, which was completely renovated by February 2022, was hit twice).
    • 5 shops, 7 enterprises and 128 households were destroyed.

At the Community Recovery and Reconstruction Forum organised by Narodna Rada of Ukraine on 17 June 2026 in Kyiv, the head of the VA Spazheva Svitlana Anatoliivna presented the concept of restoration – not the reproduction of what was, but the construction of a new community with:

  • renewable energy
  • barrier-free access
  • digital services
  • modern social infrastructure.
