Svyatoshynskyi district is one of the largest in the capital. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the population has grown to 400,000 thanks to 43,400 internally displaced persons.
Svyatoshynskyi district of Kyiv as of 2026:
- 400,000 residents
- 43,400 IDPs
- 500 damaged houses.



At the Community Recovery and Reconstruction Forum organised by Narodna Rada of Ukraine on 17 June 2026 in Kyiv, Svyatoshynskyi District Head Heorhiy Zantaraia (note: in the center of the photos below) presented the key needs of one of the largest districts of the capital:
- Reconstruction of almost 500 damaged residential buildings
- Construction of shelters in residential buildings and near schools
- Repair and modernization of educational infrastructure
- Expansion of social services for IDPs.
The district ensures transparency and is open to dialogue with partners and donors.
